The project was realized for the 2023 edition of the Festival de la Cité. The stage was placed at the most iconic location, situated in the middle of the Pont Bessières, a site that marks the junction with the city and embodies the interaction between art, public space, and society. Echoing Lausanne’s topography, the installation offers new viewpoints of the city and serves as an entrance to the festival. Two large, sloped triangular surfaces, covered with a colorful, granular flooring, welcome the public during the performances scheduled as part of the official program. These two triangles encourage visitors to zigzag around the structure and provide numerous opportunities for appropriation at different times of the day. Designed with a modular and evolving perspective, the scenography for the 2023 edition represents the first step of a project whose resonances will extend over time.

For this project, a participatory and interdisciplinary design process was implemented, aimed at students from architecture schools across Switzerland, culminating in the collective construction of the installation.
