Three relics from Japan’s Metabolist architectural movement, captured within their contemporary urban contexts. These buildings appear to be digested by the city itself — paradoxically far from the visions theorized by the Metabolists. Instead, they stand as a reality check, revealing how these once-futuristic structures have been absorbed, transformed, and repurposed by the evolving metropolis around them.
